FERRIER HOLDS TITLE DEFEAT OF RAE MELBOURNE, Oct, 1. JimFerrier, without difficulty, retained his title of amateur golf champion of Australia when, in the final to-day, ho beat Iho Victorian, Alec Rao, 9 and 8. Ferrier played magnificent golf. Since the last, round of the open championship on Saturday he has not exceeded 72 for 18 holes.
