Jubilee celebrations in connection with the Ngaruawahisi Methodist Church were hold on Sunday, the Rev. \V. .1. Oxbrow, of Cambridge, chairman' of the district, conducting the services. There were large congregations. The first Methodist Church in N'garuawahia was built in 1885, but, Methodist activities in Ngaruawahia date back to 1864, when the Kiev. .]. Rishworth began his work among the farmers and military settlers.- At the time there were 1000 Imperial soldiers stationed at Ngaruawahia. The, Rev. V. C. Thomas is the present encumbent.
