FORTY-HOUR WORK WEEK
SYDNEY COUNCIL PLAN ADDED £44,900 COST SYDNEY, Oct. 1. By three votes to two, the Sydney County Council to-night .approved the principle of a 40-hour work week throughout its service. It is estimated that tho scheme will provide employment for -an extra 170 persons at an extra cost of £44,900 yearly.
