SCOTT TAKES A REST FINAL STAGE PLANNED HOP FROM RHODESIA (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Rccd. Oct. 1, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 30. It is reported from Johannesburg that Mr. C. W. A. Scott, now the leader in the air race from Portsmouth to Johannesburg, landed at Abereorn, Northern Rhodesia, at 9.30 o'clock tonight, British standard time, lie was very tired and intended sleeping until 2 a.m. He then leaves for Johannesburg non-stop.
