DIVIDENDLESS DOUGLASITES
(To tlio Editor of tho lTorald.) Sir, —On behalf of the Poverty Pay district, council, 1 emphatically deny that, any circulars have boon issued ; asking for support for the electoral campaign. 'l'liis in.'itter has not even been discussed by the district council, and no action whatever lias been taken regarding the electoral campaign. The • statement of “Dividends for All” ’ that such a, circular has been issued iis incorrect. If your correspondent. » is a real dyed-in-the-wool dividend < man, lie should be elated instead ol : annoyed if lie really believes that the ' district council has reversed the policy 1 lie condemned four months ago. Sure- ' Iv it is illogical for him to condemn the district council if he believes it to be now in favour of the same policy as he supports. However, lid is bark- * ing up the wrong tree, because no ' circular containing any reference J whatever to tin' electoral campaign has been issued by the district couar, cil.— Voars, etc., t 10. LION 111 AX, Secretary.
