CHANGE OF PORTFOLIOS

ANNOUNCEMENT AWAITED DEPARTURE OP MR. NASH (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The departure of the Minister of Finance and Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, for England on October 13 will involve a reallocation of portfolios,, and it is expected thai an official announcement of the changes will bo made over the week-end. The most important portfolio is that of finance, and it may he stated as certain that this will be assumed by the I'rime Minister. It is also expected that the portfolio of marketing will bo taken over bv the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin. Every effort will be made by the Government to pass legislation dealing with financial matters before Mr. Nash leaves. The main questions are the Finance Bill and the supplementary estimates.
