SAVED MAN FROM LION
POCKET KNIFE USED HOOSrCK FALLS, N. Y., Aug. 17. Mr. Warren Can- related to-day how he attacked a lion with a pocket knife and rescued his brother, Chnuncey, in a zoo at the Hans Ehmler estate here yesterday. Chauncey loaned too close to the lions' cage. One of (he lions drew him .close to the liars and slashed his thighs, pelvis and right arm. Warren said he slashed at the animal's paws with the knife until the lion released his brother. It took fifty stitches to close Chauncey's wounds. ..........
