SYDNEY, Sept. 22.
Mr. Eric Bedford, an Australian who is interested in the film, industry, and who returned from tho "United States to Sydney on Saturday by the Maunganui, said that arrangements arc now being completed -for -tho visit to Australia of a number of American film stars early next year.
'' The. film stars who will come to Australia to play a series" of 'polo matches and to appear in a film to be entitled 'Black Patrol," will include .Tack Holt, Hoot. Gibson', 'Big Boy' Williams, Tim-, Holt, and Australia's all-round sportsman, 'Snowy' Baker," .said Mr. Bedford.
"We are endeavouring to secure Spencer Tracey for the tour, but owing to the weeks lost in travelling and his film contracts already entered into, this may bo have, no doubt that the Australian public will be eager to sec these film stars at play in one of -the finest games in existence. The film star team will bo in Australia about six weeks, -and will most likely make appearances in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Prior to the arrival of the film players, background scenes for 'Black Patrol' will be taken in the Northern Territory."
