SWEDEN PROSPEROUS
Consul-general's yiE\vs | SYDNEY, Sept. 10. The Consul-General for Sweden, Mr, C. O. do Daniel, who returned to Sydney by the I'arrakoola yesterday, after a' long holiday abroad, sa.id that in .Sweden there had been complete recovery from the depression. There wore only 21,000 unemployed in a population of about 7,000,000. The people looked prosperous and happy, and trade was flourishing, chiefly with Britain, America, and Germany. Sweden came next after Britain as an importer of Australian fruit, and exported to this country a large quantity of machinery, cream separators, floor sweepers, and other goods. Mr. dc Daniel said thai Norway was more prosperous than he had seen it for :i long time. Although then..' was much talk of war in Europe, he did not think it would break out, because all tlie peoples seemed horribly afraid of it. mishap. Capt. fan Frazor, the blind Ml'., was an interested listener. The dogs are trained at Xow Brighton. The training takes throe months, and the blind man spends throe weeks working with the dog before they take to the streets together.
