Fcatherston, an English businessman who has been visiting Napier. "There lias (been much talk of war, which is to be regietted, as J am convinced that if would be better for nil if we talked more of piacc and less of war," he said. "I am very glad to see than an agreement has been entered into by America, Britain aid France to stabilise the exchanges, ;s this can only mean that trading will become less difficult. I think that it ii a real step in the direction of improving international relations generally."
