TROOPS FOR PALESTINE

REINFORCEMENT PLANS TEN BATTALIONS AT SEA (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 22. More than. 1509 troops to-day left Aldershot to embark in the steamsliij California at Southampton for Palestine. The troops belong to the 2nd Battalior West Yorkshire .Regiment, the 2nd Bat talion Hampshire Regiment, and the Royal Army Pay Corps. With this departure there will lie 10 battalions at sea.

The first detachment of reinforcements is due to arrive at Haifa to-day and Major-General J. G". Dill with his staff will be present- to welcome the troops.
