SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
EMPIRE DELEGATES MEETING IN LONDON (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. .2L A British commonwealth scientific conference attended by representatives appointed by the Governments of the United Kingdom and of all the Dominions was opened' in London to-day by the Minister of Agriculture, MrWalter Elliot, who referred to the valuable- co-operative work in agricultural science effected through the executive council of the Imperial Agricultural Bureaux, a body consisting of representatives of all of the Empire Governments and inter-imperially financed. A review of the work of this council forms one of the main objects of the present conference.
