At its meeting at Geneva to-day, the Credentials Committee of the League of Nations unanimously decided to submit to The Hague Court the question of Abyssinia's eligibility to be represented in the Assembly. The' committee is to advise (he Assembly whether Abyssinia may meanwhile take part in the Assembly meetings. According to the British United Press' correspondent, the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, repeatedly asked the committee who had objected to Abyssinia's credentials, but received no answer. It is assumed that Italy will not attend the present Assembly. Following (he meeting of the Credentials Committee yesterday when it postponed its decision as lo ■whether the Abyssinians are to 'be excluded from future meetings of the Assembly, the Abyssinian delegation sent, a note to the committee drawing attention to the existence o 1 a regular native Government at Gore, and claiming that, under international law, the State of Abyssinia therefore continues to exist.
