*—• Dr. Edward Stuart Stevenson, wellknown Auckland dentist, died on Friday, aged 50. Born in Tauranga in I'VSO, he graduated in dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania in 1904, Dr. Stevenson had various sporting interests. Thirty years ago he was a notable figure in Auckland yachting circles. The Loverly Bay and East, Coast, footballers chosen to represent the Maori race in to-morrow's match against the Australian Louring team in Wellington arrived in Wellington last evening, and were to have their first run with other members of the team to-day. Mr. I. French, the Revertv Bay union’s selector and coach, is also'in Wellington in Ins capacity of selector for the Maori team, and will remain there for to-morrow s big game.

She joineod the hospital ship Marania on the first trip, and was absent from New Zealand for nearly 1- months. Following the return of the Marania Miss White was matron of the hospital at the Feathers!on military camp. She again rejoined the Miirama, and when m Kngland on that trip received from the late King George the Royal Rea Cross.
