LONDON WOOL SALES ACTIVE COMPETITION (Reed. Sept. 22, noon.) LONDON, Sept. 21. At the wool sales, 10,046 bales were offered, including 3887 from Now Zealand, and 7814 bales were sold. An excellent selection sold actively to the home trade and the Continent at full current rates. Withdrawals were largo among speculators’ lots and greasies owing to linn limits. New Zealand sales included: Greasy crossbred, Arden, top 15d, average 14Jd. f > At Bradford, merino tops are steady and consumption is well maintained, but buyers, are cautious. There is considerable business in crossbred tops and yarns, the latter hardening.
