Budge left for her home in Christchurch this morning in a Waco plane of the Wellington Aero Club, accompanied by her son, Mr. C. H. Budge, and a trained nurse. An aluminium stretcher was installed in the aeroplane by the St. John Ambulance. The plane left the Mangerc aerodrome shortly after 9 o’clock and was to stop af Palmerston North for lunch. The plane was expected to reach Christchurch between 2 and 3 o’clock this afternoon.
