PENCHEFF—BLOMFIELD NEXT GISBORNE MATCH The Gisborne Wrestling Association has received an oiler from the New Zealand union of a match between George Peni-lieff and “Lofty” Blomfield. the date for which the pair is available being September 30. The association lias accepted the otter, and is now preparing for the match, which is to he staged in the Opera House. Of “Lolly” Rlonilield, it is not necessary to say anything in introduction, for he has made a number of appearances in Gisborne, usually on the winning end of his matches. Blomtield is the recognised native-born champion of New Zealand, and his emergence as one of Hie chief contenders for Hie open championship of the Dominion has been one of the factors making for the success of wrestling in this country during the past, two seasons. George I’encliel'f, who landed in Now Zealand only last week, is one of the highlights of the wrestling arena in toe United States, and lias a reputation for colourful work in the ring.
