BUTTER MARKET WEAK IRREGULAR BUYING STOCKS ABOVE LAST YEAR The market for butter in London continued weak at the end of last week. The Dairy Board supplies the following report under date ot September 18 "'fne butter market continues weak, closing at Is to 2s per cwt below the exchange price. Australian is offering at ICCs c.i.f., shipment September, but there a i-o no buyers. Dutch and Baltic butteis could be bought for America on a basis of 8/s c.i.f., but there are no offers.’ 1

Tiie Imperial Economic Committee reported that stocks of all butteis totalled i. 025.729 boxes, compared with 870.94 b boxes a year ago. New Zealand stocks totalled 5533 tons, compared with 3611 tons a year ago.
