AVIATION CONFERENCE

DOMINION PLANS COMMITTEE OF CABINET (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Discussions on aviation questions affecting New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain, with particular reference to tho proposed trans-Tasman air mail service, will commence in Wellington within the next few days. The representative of the British Air Ministry, Mr. F. G. L. Bertram, and senior officers of the Commonwealth Post Office and Civil Aviation Department, will arrive, by the Wanganclla from Sydney on Wednesday, and the Australian Minister of Defence, Sir Avehdalo Parkhill, will leave Sydney on Thursday for New Zealand. The Prime Minister, the Tit. lion. M. ,J. Savage, stated to-day that the discussions from tile New Zealand standpoint would be conducted by a smalt Cabinet committee, of which the Post-master-General, and Minister of Defence, the. Hon. F. Jones, would he a member. Mr. Savage said that personally he would not take a full part in the discussions, hut naturally he would keep in close touch with the work of the conference.
