Lister, assistant, Grade I, Waipiro Bay; Miss D. Duncan, assistant, Grade il, Mangapapa. Substitute probationary assistants.— Miss J. D. Wells, Tolaga Bay; Miss M. J- Nelson, Wairoa. Believing appointments. —Mrs. X. M. Ward, Gisborne Central; Mrs. E. Sandlant and Mrs. P. E. Smith, Haiti; Mrs. S. Lockett and Mrs. N. M. Ward, and Misses M. W. Poole, Mangapapa; tMiss L. C. Fleming, Waipiro Bay; tMiss L. E. P. Allen, Muriwai. in the course of a report on .staffting of schools, the board's secretary, Mr. W. L. Dunn, stated that more than ‘half the relieving teachers now em;ployed by the board were married women who had re-entered the service temporarily. The position with regard to relieving positions was becoming more acute as time passed, and would .be rendered stringent when, on October several farther posts become ’vacant. i ".■■sessaag
