COMMUNITY BALL

One of the brightest of recent balls was held in Friday evening, when the Community Ball, which is always looked forward In with great- expectations, look place in the L.D.S. Hall, Xuliaka. There was a very good assembly present, there being especially a large number of visitors from AVairoa and outlying districts. The decoration of bush greenery, combined with the dainty Crooking of the ladies, made a pleasing effect. No effort had been spared by Mr. J. Pearson, ,jnn., lion, secretary, and the committee to make the year’s 'Community Ball an unsurpassed success. During an intermission items, which were very popular, were were given by the Misses Jackie and Audrey Smith, Wairon. The Kliok Klack orchestra, AVairoa, supplied the dance music, and Messrs. B. Scliwass and It. Steed, jun., carried out; the duties of M.C.s. A very appetising supper was dispensed by the ladies.
