TWO SHIPS TO BE SENT

AUCKLAND, this day
Two steamers to replace the new ship Matun, which met. with a mishap in the Cook Islands on Wednesday, are being dispatched by the Union Steam Ship Company. The Watchlin Line’s motor ship Port Whangarei leaves at 4 o’clock this afternoon. The Waipahi, which arrived from Gisborne this morning, sails for Apia and Suva on Tuesday. Both will return to Auckland with fruit.
The Matna is due at Auckland, on September 27.
