The interest taken in the issue of stamps'commemorating the first meeting in New Zealand of the Federated Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire has caused the I'o.st Office to make special arrangements for the first-day postings of correspondence that no doubt will he made on October l at the congress post office in Wellington. No official firstcover envelopes are being issued, but collectors may arrange for first-day postings at the special office by forwarding addressed envelopes with remittance and instructions to the Director-General, G.1\0... Wellington (stamp branch) to reach him prior to the end of September. The stamps will he, of Ml, Id, 2J,d, 4d, mid 6d denominations, and (he office date-stamp will indicate the special nature of the occasion by incorporating the wording “Empire Conference, Chambers of Commerce, Wellington, N'.Z.”
