THIS MONTH’S MEETING The monthly mooting of the I’ongomuitapui Women’s Institute was held in the J’ongomaitnpui dining hall on September 12. After the -singing of the institute song, the president, -Mrs. N. C. Hughes, thanked the members of the institute for sending her as delegate to the Dominion conference, belli in Dunedin. She also commented on the wonderful time they all had while attending the conference, and reminded members that in the coming conferences she hoped one or two members other than, herself might do the work of a. delegate. Owing to an extra busy month for the members, the competitions were a little slack. Results were: Mrs. W. Ngatai, kaanga pungarehu, or dressed corn, and bliss Hopley, bundle* of leeks, tie, 1: Mrs. N. Ngatai. bundle of leeks, 2, A delicious afternoon ten- was enjoyed by all. The singing of the National Anthem brought a happy meeting to a close.
