The Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, who was received by the King at Buckingham Palace, later saw the ambassadors in London of France, Italy, and Belgium, and the German charge d'affaires at the Foreign Office and handed them for communication to their Governments a note containing proposals upon which he had been working in connection with the conference of the five Locarno Powers.
