BLUE STAR LINER
NEW MOTOR VESSEL LAUNCHING CEREMONY (British Official Wireless.) ltecd. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 17. The refrigerated motor ship Brisbane Star, of 12,000 tons, built for the Blue Star Line, was launched at the Cammel Laird Company's yard at Birkenhead today. The vessel is 522 ft, long and 72ft. in beam. In (he past 10 years, the Blue Star Line has built 19 steamers at a cost of over £7,000,000. The chairman of the company said that the Brisbane Star represented the last word in refrigerator equipment. He added that lie could see a definite sign of recovery for the shipping industry.
