OBITUARY
ME. THOMAS HASKELL
" The death occurred in the Cook Hospital last evening of Mr. Thomas Haskell, who had been in New Zealand for over 40 years, including a long period in the Gisborne district. Deceased was born in Devon S2 years ago nnd in his young days travelJed in many parts of the world before settling in Canada prior to coming to New Zealand. He followed farming pursuits, and was, employed on some of the well known stations in the district, including the Orfnond property on the Mahia peninsula. He also spent a number of years at Waipnwa, Hawke's Bay.
In more Teeent years, Mr. Haskell had lived in retirement in Gisborne. So far "as is known he had no relatives.'-,. The interment took place today, at the Taruheru cemetery.
