Mr. R. L. Walton, 8.M., has returned to Gisborne from his monthly visit to the Coast on official business. Me held sittings of the court in Buatoria and Tolaga Bay. Inspector G. B. 13dwards is expected to arrive to-morrow from Wellington and will lake charge of the Oisborne police station on Monday. Inspector 11. Martin leaves Oisborne next Thursday for C'hristchnvch.

Among the stall' appointments continued at yesterday's meeting of the Jln who's Bay Education Board in Napier were those of Messrs. A. J. Pickett and T. F. Pickett, at Kaiwaka South ami at Tutira respectively. Miss M. J. Nelson was appointed a substitute probationaiy assistant at Wairoa, and Mrs. 1). Glass received a relieving appointment, also at Wairoa.
