MAHIST RAT R PROTESTS LONDON, Aug. 20. A woman went to Dart ford Police Court to-day wearing a shorf-sleeydcl frock. She had no stockings and no hat. ; The chairman. Alderman A. J. Penny: Why don 't you come to the court properly dressed.' AVherc is your hat .' The woman: i never wear one. Alderman Penny: I.don't think any woman ought to eonio to court without a hat. It is disrespectful to the court, to say the least. Mrs. M. Ring, a magistrate who was or. the bench, said, afterwards: "T. wonder some of these girls bother to put on anything at all. We shall have them coming to court in bathing costumes next. I do think they should wear at least stockings and a hat.".
