John Anthony Crawford, Aged 47 years, n canvasser, wa.s charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with obtaining money by false pretences. He had had 48 previous convictions. He was sentenced to goal for four months on one charge, and to gaol for a month on each of three other charges, the terms to be cumulative.
