CHILDREN'S SPORTS
PRIMARY SCHOOLS CAPABLE MANAGEMENT ADDITIONAL RESULTS On the Oval this afternoon the children of the primary schools of the district, continued their sports under the canable management of the teachers. The early rounds in team games and competitions were disposed of during the morning, leaving the semi-final and final rounds for this afternoon. The mam event was the running oi th© primary schoolboys' championship, over a distance of 100yds. There was a field of seven runners, and B. Muiv, Gisborne Central School, won the event by a wide margin, the other placed competitors being well hack. White, le Hapara, was second, and Croskery, Marist, and Bayram, Mangapapa, tied for third place. Results after midday were as under :- BOYS' EVENTS TUG OF WAR Open.—Second round: Gisborne heat Marist; Mangapapa beat Patutaln: le Hapara beat Kaiti; Manutuke heat Awnpuni. Semi-final: Mangapapa beat Gisborne; Te Hapara beat Manutuke. Under 13.—Second round: Manutuke beat Makaraka: Mangapapa B beat Kaiti; Gisborne A beat Awapum; Marist beat Gisborne B.
