WELLINGTON FlßE.—Severe damage was done to the Berkeley Private Hotel when fire swept through the upper storey completely gutting 12 rooms and more or less severely damaging six others. Other parts of the building suffered from water. The Fire Brigade is seen at the back of the building during the blaze.
