A Missing Buddha
"THE Vanishing Idol," by Mr. George Gibbs, concerns a missing Buddha from a monastery in French Indo-Chinn. Its loss creates considerable commotion, and Mr. Gibbs gives his thrilling story an AngloAmerican touch by making a British Museum official the -illaia of the piece. It would not be fair t.o state where the idol was hidden, but Mr. Gibbs is certainly ingenious in this particular and important point.
