DENIAL OF REPORT
BOARD INCIDENT MEMBER EXPLAINS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Tlio episode'at this week’s mooting of the Wellington Education Board was referred to to-day by Colonel T. AV. McDonald, .who. stated that the published report was inaccurate in alleging that ho did not return to the meeting. “The true position,” lie stated, “is that I left the room after the board adjourned, and shortly afterwards I returned and remained in the board room until the meeting -adjourned. No member of the police force entered the board room either whoa I was present or during the meeting of the board.
“The police, even if they wished to do so, us I am certain they did not, could not have lawfully interfered under the circumstances.
