GISBORNE CLUB NEW COMMITTEE MEETS The first meeting of the new committee of tho Gisborne Rowing Club was held last evening in the clubhouse, those present being Messrs. A. F. Allen, chairman, I). Jones, K. A. Bell, R. Mahon, S. W. Bruce, D. F. Muir, J. Zacharinh, J. Paine, L. Winstanley, and the Sion, secretary, Air. R. Coleman. A welcome to the new members on the committee was extended by the chairman, and a vote of thanks was recorded the retiring committee and officers for their work during the past season.

Social committee matters were discussed and a report oil the work of last season was given by Mr. Bruce as the retiring chairman. The sub-conimit(ee lor the new season will he Messrs. Bruce, R. S. Kinder, D. F. Muir, R. Matthews, Paine, R. Chrisp, Bell, and Coleman, with the captain ex officio. Sunday afternoon rowing was discussed at length and it was decided to allow all the club’s boats out with the exception of the new practice fours. Tho following representative selectors were appointed : —Messrs. Mahon, 1). Jones, and Allen.

The question Of a dry-boat for the instruction of new members was raised by Mr. Winstanley, and members agreed with the suggestion that one should be provided in the dressing-rooms. Mr. Mahon said that a facility of this type also would be invaluable for the training of representative crews. It was decided to look over the old plant lor a suitable craft.

A list was posted in the clubhouse for tlie First Trial Fours and it. was decided that the crews should be drawn by the committee at the next, meeting, on Tuesday evening. The first races of tho season will be over the three-quarter of a. mile course.
