LIFT WELL FATALITY
AUCKLAND MYSTERY MR. H. E. OH UR TON’S DEATH (Pur Press Association.) AUCKLAND, las! nighl. The body of Mr. 11. E. Churton, aged <l3, married, a well-known indent agent, of Mt. Eden, was. found at noon to-day at the bottom of the lift well in Cooke’s Buildings, Queen street, Auckland, where he occupied an oilice on the fifth floor. Mr. Clmrton’s hat and attache case were found in the automatic lift, which was on the sixth floor. llow lie fell into the lift well is af mystery. The lift was tested by exports and the mechanical locking devices on the lift and at each floor were found to be in working order.
