LORD APSLEY RESCUED _ LONDON --y u jy'2j“ Lord Apslcy, M.P. for Bristol Central, who once said that life to-day is more dangerous tbaii at any time since the Wars of tho Roses, had a lucky escape when his aeroplane rail out of petrol and landed in the sea off the Isle of Wight late on Wednesday night.. A yacht came to his assistance and took him aboard. His machine was later towed into Cowes harbour by a trading vessel. Lord Apslcy, who is heir to Earl Bathurst, is 41. In 1925 ho went to Australia, under an assumed name, as an emigrant, and worked as a farm hand, in order to gain first-hand knowledge of emigration problems.
