The Wairoa team selected to defend the Lady Carroll Shield against the Poverty Bay Indies, challengers, in Wairoa on Saturday will be:—Goal, Miss P. Pau; fullbacks, Misses 1). Haenga and R. Lewis; halves, Misses R. Tautau, D. Jones, and M. Solomon: forwards, Misses A. Walker, D. Single, W. Gemmell, captain, K. Hook, and P. Poy/.er. Emergencies: Backs, Mrs. Walker and Miss L. Kent; forwards, Misses R. Riddiford and 11. Walker.
The Wairoa leant has been putting in a (rood deal of practice and a keen struggle is anticipated.
