SPRING CATTLE FAIR

SPIRITED BIDDING FAIRLY FULL YARDING The first spring Cattle Fair of the season was held to-day by the. Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association at the Matawhero Kaleyards. There was a good attendance and a fairly full yarding of good-conditioned male cattle. Buyers were present from -both north and south, and bidding was spirited at (lie following range of values: Bullocks, quality £8 iOs to £9 6s, lighter £7 16s upwards : Uvo-year steers, £6 15s ro £7 los, hut most above. £7: yearling steers, top line £6 to £6 Bs, others £5 5s upwards.
