EDUCATION FELLOWSHIP
DOMINION SESSIONS PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR (Per Press Assoeiatinn.) WELLINGTON, this day. A decision to hold a session of the New Education Fellowship conference in the four main centres was reached at a meeting last night, of the national commit tee of the New Zealand session of the New Education Fellowship conference. Professor T. A. Hunter presided. World figures in the sphere of education arc to visit New Zealand from .Inly 19 to July 29 of next year, and if was disclosed that there is every prospect of al. least 12 speakers accepting the invitation. Not all. however, will he able to stop to attend each local session, bui. ii is imped that more than half of them will.
Tlie moyement lias already received the approval of the .Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, who has evinced considerable interest in the proposal. It. is now proposed to proceed with the formation of local committees in the four centres. These committees will direct arrangements in their own particular areas, and it is hoped lo interest not only educationists but local bodies such as city councils, chambers of commerce and members of the business community.
Tlie plan envisaged by the national committee contemplates the attendance at each local session of several hundreds ol teachers for perhaps a week, arid the conference undoubtedly promises to be the most important meeting of educationists ever held in New Zealand.
