FRENCH ARMY SURPRISE
PARIS, July 28. Reservists on their way to rejoin their units in Alsace surprised the
station stall at Nancy Inst night by singing the “Internationale,’’ the Communist anthem. The singing continued Ihe whole time the train was in tlie stal ion.
Tlie military police were powerless to interfere without instructions from a higher authority. The troops also .shouted abusive remarks tit the n.c.o. in charge of the military police.
