BEQUEST TO UNIVERSITY
COLQUHOUN ESTATE OTACO APPRECIATION (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, f his day. A letter was received from the Trustees Executors and Agency Company at a meeting of the University Council yesterday forwarding a cheque for £2043 3s 7d representing Ihe balance of a bequest by Dr. Daniel Colquhoun, together with interesting totalling £43 3s 7d.
The chancellor, Mr. W. J. Morrell, said that this sum made a total of over £BOOO which had been received from the estate of Dr. Colquhoun. Ills name would go down, not merely as one of their best-known physicians, but also as a great and generous benefactor of the Otago University.
