Davies (Napier) led Harvey (Auckland) in the morning round to finish 3 up at the 18th. R. Rainger, in the Thermal Cup final, finished the morning with a similar margin from C. M. Jtodgshnn. Entries for the Veterans’ Cup closed at 1)3 an extremely representative field. Great regret was expressed at the absence of E. M. Hutchinson, of Gisborne, and Torlesse, ot: 1 iinaru, through illness.
