YOUNG SKIER'S TRIUMPH

WINS N.Z. LANGLAUF GRUELLING TEST (Par Press Association.) THE CHATEAU, this day. On Mount Ruapehu yesterday, despite the wretched weather, the New Zealand championship langlauf resulted in a triumph for the young Taranaki skier. B. McMillan, who gave a particularly fine performance in beating R. Gelling, one of Australia's leading long-distance racers. The race was held over two laps of the five-mile course, starting and.finishing at Salt Hut on Scoria Flat. It was a gruelling test, the conditions being very misty and there was an exceedingly cold wind.
