WORKERS IN HOTELS
CONCILIATION DEADLOCK CASE FOR ARBITRATION (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. A deadlock was reached this afternoon in the conciliation proceedings in the Dominion dispute between the New Zealand Federated Hotel and Restaurant Employees' Industrial Association of Workers and Mrs. (Holland, of the Trocadero Hotel, Wellington, ami others. it was decided to refer the question of wages and hours to the Arbitration Court, together with the clauses dealing with holidays, overtime and casuals.
It was agreed that the scope of the award should be for the North and South Island, Stewart Island being left in dispute.
