MOTOR RACE TRAGEDY
FIVE PET?SONS KILLED SAN PAH 1-0, Brazil, July .12. Five people wore killed, five seriously injured and S2 more slightly injured to-day when a ear driven by Mile. Helle' Nice, the French racing motorist, swerved into a crowd of spectators during the round-the-bouses race here. Mile Helle Nice was racing ueek and neck with a rival at about 100 miles an hour, fighting for third place. About 20 yards from the finish, a spectator tried (o cross the road ill front of her. She braked hard and her car mounted the pavement. The ear turned over three times before the driver was flung more than 20 yards into one of the stands. She suffered concussion, and her condition is serious. The legs of one spectator were.severed.
