\YIGAN SCHOOL DANCE (Herald Correspondent.) Lust night Mullaney's woolshed, Takapau, losl its work-n-day appearance and was dor the nonce transformed into the semblance of some woodland bower. The occasion was the Wigan School's annual dance, and credit for the decorations and a delicious supper must, go to Mr. and -Mrs. E. Badham and members of the Wigan School Committee. During the evening pupils of the school presented two pleasing humorous sketches. The first by the girls, featuring Misses Phyllis Higgs, Jean Higgs. and Olive Graham, was entitled "The Pot of Broth," while the second. "A Mint o' Money," was well acted by three boys, .lack McNeil, Nelson McNeil, and Malcolm Graham. Mr. Joyce, sen., was well received in- a group ol humorous songs, while a feature of the music was the playing of Mr. Joyce. Jan.. on the musical saw. For the dancing, music was supplied by Mrs. B. Lincoln and her orchestra. A Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Mr. and Mrs. R, Craill. Mr. P. (Savors made an eiiicient M.C.
