Pessimism May Pay
TUPLE are critics of modern driving who insist *hai a large proportion of mishaps in traffic are due to Iho public's excess of .optimism. The estimate may have some validity, especially iii the case of new cars. So obviously superior are they in respect to performance —easy stopping, easy steering and lightning acceleration—that the a vertigo owner asks litem to do too much. A little more pessimism might keep him from driving his car into situations front, which it cannot extricate itself.
