NEW OBSERVATORY

PLANS FOR WELLINGTON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The erection of a new observatory for the city in the Botanical Gardens is practically certain in the next two years. Funds have been provided by the Carter Bequest, which now amounts to £12,000. Recently a conference was held with the Minister of Education, the Hon. PFraser, a committee being set up with the object of forwarding the erection of the observatory.
