AMUSEMENTS REGENT Scientifically Heated Throughout. SWITCH ING-ON OP TIIK NEW NEON ILLUMINATION OP THE REGENT 1 WILDINGS AT 7.30 TO-NIGHT. NOW SHOWING Undoubtedly one ol' the finest productions over released: THE STORY OE LOUIS THE STORY OF LOUIS THE STORY OF LOUIS THE STORY OF LOUIS PASTEUR PASTEUR PASTEUR PASTEUR This is no ordinary story, no every-day romance. It is a history of the life of a man a brilliant man —who. in the face of opposition from the medical profession made his way to the top of the tree in the service of humanity. That man was Louis Pasteur, chemist. of Paris, whose efforts to combat disease saved the lives of thousands and laid a foundation of safety for future generations, thus causing his name to be listed among the most illustrious in the medical world. That noted character actor, Paul Muni, is seen as Louis Pasteur, and, by his brilliant acting, makes the audience live with him through every minute of his struggle against the prejudices of the French Academy of Medicine, whose members scoffed at his assertions that bacteria caused disease and that all surgical instruments should be sterilised before use. The picture shows how, aided by the counsel of his devoted wife (admirably played by Josephine Hutchison) he finally convinced the sceptics of their mistake, and was honoured by France, by England, and by Russia, and, of course, in later years, by the entire world. The picture is one that should be missed by no one. (Approved for Universal. Exhibition). IS YOUR RADIO WORKING SATISFACTORILY ?
